Most of the time, one of our deadly mistakes is
not that we lack information but rather we lack the right execution.
A lot of people tend to hoard information rather than execute it. It is just like those people who suffered from
compulsive hoarding, aka hoarding disorder. They have a kind of behavior that is characterized by excessive acquisition and the unwillingness or inability to discard large quantities of stuff that cover the living areas of the home and cause unnecessary distress.
While I was an undergraduate, I too have too much information given to me for my course of studies. It is, however, my duty to
absorb the relevant ones and to discard the irrelevant ones.
So same things go for internet marketing etc, there is far too much information out there. What we need to do is to really
learn and apply what really suit us and stick on to it.
5 deadly mistakes that I just learned recently and would like to share here:
- Spending money on website that serves to purpose
- Using just one marketing channel (every marketing channel is different)
- Focusing too much on selling
- Don't know how to convert visitors into leads/sales
- Trying to figure out everything alone (it's better to seek for expert knowledge when in doubt)
According to statistics,
90% of visitors won't click unless call to action (make sure you tell what you want your visitors to do)
Lastly, to summed it up for what work best in digital marketing, it is good to know this acronym called "
TOP":
T -
Traffic (traffic is the lifeblood of every business. Imagine a business without any customer......)
O -
Offer (What do you have to offer that others need? Add value first before you promote your product or services)
P -
Persuade (This can be done with a landing page)
If you do not have any traffic, you can simply find out what website your target audiences are visiting and advertise on that website (you can use
facebook advance advertising option to narrow down you who is really your target audiences)
Provide social proof like testimonial to convince your target audiences
Result based testimonial + character testimonial or
video testimonial
